Basrah Investment Commission منظمة حكومية تتمتّع بشخصية معنوية مستقلة، تُعنى بالتخطيط Investmentي ومنح إجازات Investment في المحافظة وفق Law Investment النافذ، وتعمل على جذب Investmentات وتنمية اقتصاد البصرة عبر إعداد الفرص والخارطة Investmentية، وتبسيط الإجراءات، وتقديم خدمات متكاملة للمستثمرين في بيئة جاذبة وشفّافة.
تأسّست بقرار مجلس Basrah Governorate رقم (422) في 2/7/2008، وباشرت عملها من التاريخ نفسه.

تعمل وفق Law Investment رقم (13) لسنة 2006 المعدّل وأنظمته وInstructionsه.

تهدف Basrah Investment Commission في عملها إلى:
تشجيع Investment ونقل التقنيات الحديثة لتنمية البصرة وتنويع قاعدتها الإنتاجية والخدمية.
تحفيز القطاع الخاص المحلي والأجنبي على Investment وتعزيز قدرته التنافسية.
Develop human resources and provide employment opportunities for the people of the governorate.
Protect investors’ rights and property.
Expand exports and strengthen the governorate’s trade balance.
تمارس الهيئة، وفق Law Investment رقم (13) لسنة 2006 المعدّل، مجموعة من الاختصاصات التي تجعلها الجهة المسؤولة عن التخطيط Investmentي ومنح الإجازات في المحافظة:
Reviewing applications and issuing licenses in accordance with the legislation in force.
Identifying available opportunities, documenting their locations, and promoting them.
Attracting capital and stimulating the private sector.
Creating an attractive and enabling business environment for investors.
Facilitating transactions through coordination among the relevant authorities.
Monitoring progress through to project operation.
Simplifying steps and shortening procedural timeframes.
Promoting Basrah’s opportunities locally and internationally.

تُمنح إجازة Investment بعد استكمال المتطلّبات كافة.
